Even when was being a belligerent douche I felt like that was just the Hen talking... somehow like his stardom and access to fine booze wasn't his fault. I thought the camera work ie. helping the viewer feel Kanye's drunkenness was really effective as well as the visual and sound effects during the vomit/stabbing scene.Sidneyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11443111308035932334noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4777970232417418909.post-29786064778170808292009-12-01T18:25:48.619-08:002009-12-01T18:25:48.619-08:00Wow. This piece has a lot of daring originality in my opinion, and makes brilliant use of Kanye's pop icon status. Jonze has always had a vision. This is no exception, and I think it adds to his repertoire of already brilliant stuff. It was a sad movie too. I did feel for Kanye, or the character of Kanye throughout...with the exception maybe of the first few minutes, but I was so curious at that point it didn't really matter if I liked or disliked his persona at the start off (and that gave him a chance to be transformed anyway, as all the best characters/people are). Thanks for posting this good stuff.Excaliborn7https://www.blogger.com/profile/11988264128192283175noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4777970232417418909.post-8037870555045248772009-12-01T16:49:56.683-08:002009-12-01T16:49:56.683-08:00This was an odd video. Spike Jonze, the director of Where the Wild Things Are & Being John Malcovich, likes to bring a surreal effect to his films. Jonze portrays Kanye as a drunk narcissist(one could even say douche bag)who you don't feel sorry for. I mean this portrayal of Kanye is what we expect (i.e. Taylor Swift incident) except until the end.

I guess i'm just left with more questions than when I started but I enjoyed the video overall.Matt Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03513587319155840245noreply@blogger.com
