Tenacious D versus The Devil
If you havent seen Tenacious D:Pick of Destiny you might want to watch the movie at least once. I wouldnt watch it twice but the music is funny and original and the storyline stupidly entertaining bordering on pure stupidness. The song and video accompaniment of this part are well done. If you like Tenacious D or Flight of the Conchords or Might Boosh you may be a fan.
I love Time Lapse Drawings
You can basically learn how to use or do anything on youtube. If you wanna learn how to draw a Irish Sock-ness Terrier monster.

Personality as Art
I've always enjoyed the subject of personality as a work of art. When we say someone is "charming" it is because they have something in their nature that makes us want to be around them or watch them. Chris Crocker is a good example of somebody who has a certain energy that makes his personality interesting to me, like an engaging art work. This guy is equally incredible to me. His crazy way of expressing himself, the freedom with which he lets himself follow any impulse. It's fantastic. It's pure and uplifting and I can watch this again and again with enjoyment (plus its a good song to begin with). I'd be interested to hear what all of you think of this kind of video. What thoughts fill your head when you watch it? How does it make you feel? Please comment.
P.A.N.T.S. dance

Fruitcake lady!
Great video, many more like it all over the net. What is it about old people cussing that makes it so funny?!?
Well trained dog
http://myspacetv.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=22211294 I could only get the URL for this video but it is pretty great, the dog gets a tissue if you sneeze, gets the phone if it rings and even gets drinks from the fridge, and goes back if you want a different one.

This is either real or real genius. Either way you'll be ROTFL and amazed. Enjoy!
Food Court Musical
You'll love this! So good. Watch immediately.
16 agents create a spontaneous musical in a food court in a Los Angeles mall. Using wireless microphones and the mall's PA system, both their voices and the music was amplified throughout the food court.

Sunday Afternoon
This is a fantastic brand new video from Jon Lajoie. He seems to be getting very prolific and consistent these days (see another new video of his below). The music here is high energy, with great outfits and camera presence, dry well-written lyrics, superb visuals with the repeating placement and energy of the disco ball. Despite the fact that some unfunny people will focus on the cliche juvenile-ness of masturbation humor, there is a tight aesthetic to the piece, and the fact that it's serious work that doesn't take itself too seriously, is great to see. Jon Lajoie has it.
Song For Britney
Again great execution, filming, and writing. I like the way the tabloid covers and paparazzi pictures work within the video. Jon Lajoie - who also did "The Everyday Normal Guy" videos - has a certain originality that can't be denied and I think he's someone to watch as he's doing something independently through the youtube marketplace and finding huge reception. Soon I think you will see him brought even more into the media limelight.

garfield
i assume most people have seen this, but i like the way various web sites lately have been distorting comic strips to be something else. this is hysterical because garfield is DEFINITELY funnier without garfield -- there's something very ironic about that.
more: garfield minus garfield
and also: comics curmudgeon
and obviously: marmaduke explained

Amazing Speed Painting.
Very detailed. There is a feature on AfterEffects that imitate this: MotionSketch.
This video shows how much complexity aftereffects and photoshop is capable of.

Here's a new video by Will Friebel from the 180 class. It's a nice piece of work. Great camera work/shots, editing, and music choice. The question now is: can he land that toast in the toaster with a hook shot?!

“The 1301 fluorescent tubes are powered only by the electric fields generated by overhead powerlines. […] “There’s an interactive element to all this, too, if you go to the site itself. ‘You affect the lights by your proximity’, says Richard, ‘because you’re a much better conductor than a glass tube. And there’s sound as well as light - a crackling that corresponds to the flashing of the lights. There’s a certain smell too, and your hair stands slightly on end.’”
