Lady Gaga and Anti-Americanism in the Middle East

Hey guys,

I came across this article when scanning through the NPR website and after our discussion today, it definitely made me wonder whether there is any room at all for New Genre in cultures adhering to rather strict ethics codes - If so, what might it look like/what does it look like if it's already out there/how could it potentially develop? (I'll keep looking)

(By the way here's one definition of ethics vs. morality -

"[Ethics is] is the philosophical study of morality. The word is also commonly used interchangeably with 'morality' to mean the subject matter of this study; and sometimes it is used more narrowly to mean the moral principles of a particular tradition, group, or individual. Christian ethics and Albert Schweitzer's ethics are examples."
