This is fantastic. I'd heard of butoh before but never actually seen it performed. Now I'm in awe of the beauty and skill of this piece. It reminds me of a statue becoming human, but at the same time surpassing what it means to be human in sheer grace and display of emotion.
Simply stunning. This beauty is hard to match. Deeply moving and sublime. BTW, butoh as a dance form developed in large part as a reaction to the incomprehensible experience of Hiroshima.
