Holy mother. I was going to post this tonight as well when I saw this on yahoo news. This is so incredible, so horrifying and powerful. Man! I want to make an artwork using this footage. It tells us a lot about ourselves when we are in elemental life or death situations. Too much. It makes me cringe and yet it continues to fascinate. Notice too how the drama has been set to music and sped up here. It's aestheticized. This has been a very intense week in terms of art and other general exposure to the amazing craziness of people, their actions and ideas.
yes he did go the bathroom actually! He manually opened the doors to pee (you can see it if you watch closely). Later said he hoped the pee might be seen coming down somehow and someone might ask why the elevator was leaking. But that didn't happen.
This is crazy! It's makes me wonder how I would react. From what I can tell it looks like this guy remained fairly calm. I would be freaking out. 41 hours, alone, no food, no water, no bathroom.
yeah, andrew and i were watching this in the pio office today too. i guess this is super viral, huh? makes me think of intentionally trapping people. THAT would definitely create a buzz, huh?

I noticed that he never went to the bathroom the entire 41 hours. This indicates to me that he never completely lost hope.

If you're trapped in an elevator for more than 41 hours and you simply can not hold it anymore, do you go on the floor or in your pants?
