I googled some of Chris Burden's non performance art to see what that was like and my conclusion is that I like it a lot better than his performance art, which in my opinion, is typically too obvious.

after further reflection, I have decided to ammend my statement: not all of Burden's work is obvious in meaning. However, most of these meaning in these works is lost by in the viewer's horror or fascination with the piece itself.
