This was a really interesting argument she was making. I feel like usually people try to talk about how impersonal and distant communicating through technology is. But it is really interesting when you think about how much more contact we have with people when we are constantly texting or chatting with them... Part of me does still think that personal, face-to-face communication is best and that not communicating so much through these technologies makes that time together much more special, but at the same time I think her point about immigrants talking to their children back home is really powerful. A lot to think about here...
