This must have taken a long time, not only to film (though clearly 100 days of dancing for maybe a minute), but cutting the film and fitting in music. The music definitely sounds like an added element because the quality is so good. I wonder though if he listened to music when he danced? Sometimes he appears to be really in sync, but other times, I feel like the music could be interchangeable. The length is a big long, but I guess if you're going to dance to 100 songs, that's what it has to be. The relationship between the dance, song and atmosphere gives a fun experience of American Culture.
I might not want to watch him dance for more than 2 minutes, but I definitely want to listen to the upbeat music and dance myself.
That'ss pretty great. It strikes the perfect equation of unity and variety that's necessary for a successful piece. It's a bit long, yes, but there is real beauty in the 100 changes. The backgrounds are unbelievably varied and gorgeous. Even if you only watch 3 minutes of it, you can just leave it on for the music and enjoy the fast paced juke box switchiness of it.
i think is is fantastic. I watched the full 100 songs and did not get board. I for whatever reason was laughing the whole time. I also thought the backgrounds for each song were great. I checked out some of this guys other art work and its amazing...
