Robotic Fish

Ever since I saw that Big Dog robot post, I have been rather obsessed by its naturalistic movement, which I found both wonderous and slightly disturbing (because it was so convincing).  This robotic fish developed by Essex University has amazingly mimetic movement.  And it apparently uses sensors for autonomous movement, which makes it all the more amazing.

Wow! Its movement is beautiful. It really makes me wonder what the difference is between real & simulated and if the difference is getting smaller as technology progresses or if it is still staying the same.

I guess the difference is arguably subjective..
