new sony bravia commercial

I really like the idea behind this new commercial, but I feel like it was executed poorly. I would have focused on the paint splashing when it comes down rather than when it's shooting up. I was really let down when I didn't get to see the paint thrown all over the inside of the house, too. It gave it almost an unauthentic feel because you could not see the final effect of the paint. What do you guys think?

Indeed this is the Sony Bravia advertising sequel to the bouncing ball advert, but it was actually made several years ago too. I have to disagree with Liz and say that I think this is hands down one fo the most amazing things I have ever seen. I think it is bnearly perfect so I had zero sense of disappointment in watching. It was conceived and directed by Jonathan Glazer, who is very well known and does truly amazing work. 70,000 litres of paint, mortars, bottle bombs and 1,700 detonators redecorating Queen's Court in Glasgow's Toryglen estate. A cast of 200 people (only one of whom, the clown, is seen in the finished product). It took 60 people five days to clean up.

i think the paint falling at the end is enough of a grounding. it wanted to be exuberant, and the exploding paint qives that effect. personally, i don't like the clown.

I love this advert- I think it is an amazing work of art that is so out there that it is easy to think that it is a falsehood. I think it is bette than the bouncing balls advert just because of the sheer mess factor that makes any one concerned for clean-up quite anxious.
