Just Dance

I think this video gives Beyonce a pretty reasonable run for her money. These kids can really boogie. It's a fan video, not actually produced by the artist, Yelle, but it's pretty inventive and entertaining. Plus, the song is way fun.

I wrote a paper on tecktonik dance for my French class, and it's is really fascinating how there is this whole culture behind the dance. The jerky, tribal movements are a large part of it, certainly, but the clothes, the hair and the attitude all represents the freedom of tecktonik. There are no religious or political undertones to tecktonik. It's simply about movement and letting yourself go. Also, tecktonik is yet another example of the youtube phenomenon that allows bits of culture to spread among youth on different continents.
