This video makes the idea of the stairclimber less boring.
In the past I have noticed a full escalator and no one using the stairs. I have used the escalator up sometimes, but I always uses the stairs on the way down.
I love the idea of provoking the public to interact with an installment.

That is just an amazing installation. Even though it was a Volkswagen commercial, the idea was still fairly genuine.
It makes you wonder what other things you can influence others to do through novel installations like keyboard stairs.
This makes me think of how things could change at the BFFC. There are televisions on every bike, elliptical, and treadmill but what if it were a large game? Just a thought, but if the bikes were all connected to some sort of video game based on your performance than would more people on average work harder?
According to the fun theory, yes it would.
I feel like someone recently told me about a gym where in the spinning room there was a huge projection of the Tour de France on the wall and each individual bike had a screen that told you where you were in relation to the rest of the race or something like that... I would like that!
Also, completely unrelated, I have always thought it would be cool to install stationary bikes and treadmills and stuff that generated energy to power the tv's and lights and such within the gym. I feel like it wouldn't be that hard to do and maybe things like that have already been invented... who knows.
